This Better Breathers Club will held on the second Tuesday of every month in the East Conference Room at the Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue. All Club sessions will run from 2 PM.
Better Breathers Clubs are welcoming support groups for individuals with COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer, and their caregivers. Learn better ways to cope with lung disease while getting the support of others in similar situations. Led by a trained facilitator, these in-person adult support groups give you the tools you need to live the best quality of life you can.

Compass Point Senior Enrichment Center is an affordable alternative for in-home and long-term care designed to meet the needs of adults who are chronically ill or isolated, need daytime supervision or opportunities for socialization, interaction, medication management and medical monitoring.
If you are covered by Medicare:
Medicare will pay for up to eight over-the-counter COVID-19 tests per month, including the Ellume tests. This includes people with Medicare Advantage plans. Call ahead to make sure your local retailer has the Ellume tests in stock. Call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) with any questions.
If you have private insurance:

Through this initiative, blind and low-vision users have been able to order Ellume COVID home tests, which are more accessible than other options. The Ellume COVID-19 home test was found by visually impaired users to be more accessible than the other at-home tests currently available. The test was not created specifically for blind users, and it is not perfectly accessible, but blind users have found that they could use this test independently.
You can order the more accessible tests for people who are blind or who have low vision online by calling the number listed above. These tests will be available for order until supplies run out. Each household is limited to one order, which includes 12 tests.

Improving the quality of life and quality of care for consumers of long-term care is the mission of Advocates for Basic Legal Equality's (ABLE's) Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. This program is part of a statewide network of programs that act to protect the health, safety, welfare, and rights of long-term care residents and consumers by investigating and resolving complaints, promoting the enforcement of laws and regulations, advising and recommending policy, and educating the public, consumers, providers and policy makers.

At Portland Place, they provide thoughtful, compassionate care in a warm, lively senior living community. They develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care.
